Hey there, Grizz! Just wondering but did you take out the scene where Sal hugs you at the pool? The one that requires you to have high affection points with him to get the scene? I got it once before but for some reason, I can't seem to get it again despite choosing the same options like before. Also, did multiple runs with different choices but was still unable to get said scene even though I tried to choose the options that Sal would like.
I wouldn't say that at all. Sal only wants the hug if he's sufficiently close to Dave. If you're feeling vulnerable, would you want to be touched by someone you're not exactly close to let alone a hug?
Yeah that makes sense...with how reserved and offset Sal is, it’s understandable that it’s seemingly difficult to get the hug (I’m the same way lmao) The reason I called the route unintuitive was because when I was doing my first play through, the choice that stopped me from getting the hug seemed weird at first...I assumed he made my mistake too...sorry :(🐊

I've come to know more about the characters, Especially about Dean and Tyson in particular, But what bugs me the most is that Dean's interaction with us in his route seems... Vague... I get his reason on why he wants a perfect a date with Dave and why it bothers him so much about other kinds of dates, But what I don't get is why is Dean suddenly headstrong about dating when he was so secretive about his first... Boyfriend..., was there something that pushed him to be more romantic other than his brake up or was that just it? The mysteries grow more and more by each update, On Sal's route, He was kinda jealous when he found out dave slept with Sal...Is this jealousy also another result from his brake up or something else? Because according to him, They weren't "officially" dating and they just have to wait until the month is over.
Another thing that bugs me is how Orlando is taking the current situation badly, He can no longer meet up with Dave after the month is done because he has to take over their family business, but with Dean's bad ending, he got to open his own restaurant...(?) But does that mean his own family disowned Orlando because he was accused of food poisoning or was it because they let him have what he wanted after he witnessed such a horrible event?
Along with these two are one that's been on my mind for a long time, Tyson admits that Dave is his weakness, and yet, He refuses to admit he is Gay, And now, He's trying to figure out his own identity... I can relate to him having a... Bad experience with his father, and I get the reason why he doesn't like being called a canine, But a question presents itself to me, He says he wants to earn that kiss from dave, That he wants to be "worthy" and yet he denies that he's Gay. Maybe tyson is just having an identity crisis and is just trying to cover the fact that he likes Dave... But will he get a scenario where Tyson will come out and finally comes to terms that he likes Dave in that way? Only grizz knows what's going to happen now.
I enjoyed this new update even though it was... Kinda depressing for dave, But we just got to remember that this visual novel focuses on murder mystery, so that part us expected.

But to help things along, here are some questions to think about: - What would it be like to want to love freely in a openly hostile and homophobic environment in your informative years? - What's it like to suffer guilt so strong you need medication? - Is Tyson looking to be worthy of a kiss, or something else? Why? - What would the mindset be of someone afraid to accept being potentially into guys for fear of reprisal?
I feel like I'm failing you guys by not spelling this out but at the same time I feel like I shouldn't need to.
But are we approaching a time in the story where he stops... getting pushed so much? Maybe some kind of "leave me alone" conversation at some point?
On his route it's fine, but every other route it gets annoying. Like you're reminded how you should be with Dean instead. Or he'll make inappropriate comments despite us potentially spending no one-one time with him in the almost two weeks we've been in the mansion together.
He's become my least favorite character at this point, because everyone else seems to just have a much better relationship going with Dave.
"Leave me alone" directed at who? It comes up in Orlando's route briefly, we're only just getting to the point in Sal's route where friendship loyalty might need to be brought into question, Tyson's so far in the closet he's finding Narnia, Roswell's confusing Dave by being sure but also vague, Hoss's route has other stuff taking priority, and obviously Dean's got his own stuff going on.
Yes there'll be a point that if Dave decides he wants to be with someone else that talking with Dean will be a requirement. The reason he gets pushed by others, typically Orlando and Tyson should be apparent based on what they bring up in their routes as far as problems with being with Dave.

I don’t know if what I just typed is a question or a “my thoughts” type of deal...but the turns have tabled
I played all three new routes....and something’s bothering me....so, as we all know, Dean likes Dave, right? And naturally, I started with his route...learned his story about his ex, and then Dave dropped the big question of “are we dating?” (Instant booty-pucker moment) And Dean’s response couldn’t sorta baffled me. On one hand, I can understand why the short answer is “I’m working on myself” from Dean...but on the other, I feel like during other routes, no one is being fair to Dave about how he should feel, including Dean himself. In every route, including his own, it seems like Dean is just all over Dave, forever wanting something out of him, sometimes ignoring the simply boundary of “no is no.” Saying that it’s an unfortunate trade-off of Dave “trying to control everyone” by keeping them alive doesn’t seem to cut it because I’m pretty sure anyone there would do something to stop it unless they were in on it. Dean seems way too obsessive, and even Sal said he’s a one-man guy. I feel like Sal is the only one being considerate of Dave well being as opposed to his feelings. When Dave exploded at Orlando, I fully agreed with everything he said because y’know....can’t argue with facts. And while Orlando’s situation is bad, simply saying “go get your bear” is so ignorant and disregarding of Dave. Sal said that he and Dave slept together and Dean had the nerve to be upset even after the incident. Correct me if I’m wrong but in Sal’s route, Sal sleeps with Dave after seeing the vault activation, which means Sal didn’t need the meds to sleep given Dave’s presence. I feel like Dean should’ve caught on to the fact that Sal didn’t need the medication (regardless of reason) since he always asks for it....but it’s later stated by Sal that Dean was concerned for Dave and had seemingly no regards for Sal. It might be one of those understood things that Dean would be worried about Sal, but it doesn’t add up for Dean to be so callous about [apparent] issues like that.

I feel like a lot of the issues here are due to a lack of understanding the subtext in certain interactions.
Remember that the Dean/Dave relationship is something they're both into but neither are really ready for, causing a cascade of issues moving forward. They're into one another but Dean has his thing and Dave is currently sad and stressed to not give it any mind. Considering the sadness, given people want Dave to be happy again, they're assuming encouraging him towards the guy that he has/had an interest in is a good thing. Whether that's right or not is another whole thing.
And remember that Sal and Dean are besties. Any sort of Dave/Sal interaction is already going to cause panic in Dean because of his own mental state.
Ah I understand more now...I wasn’t sure if I was following 100% correctly...sometimes I have this idea where I’m like “oh they’re friends so they should know what to do to make him better” without considering the fact that barely anyone knows how to directly and indirectly help Dave. But considering everyone’s backstory, I see how discombobulated that stuff can get...thanks!🐊
Sal is my fourth favorite and I can agree with you there, Sal the gentle giant is very considerate of dave while dean is... somewhat possessive of dave on other routes than gis own, I feel that something might be happening between the characters that we may not know, Because sal said that the others where either fighting or upset with each other because dave is upset as well... Well, we can only dream of what going to happen next on the next update, I'll be waiting for it patiently as always. ^^
If you're not skipping dialogue and play through whatever comes up on screen you should at the very least not miss the first one. If there's anything I can do to lessen the confusion, happy to help. I won't however just give the answer away as I need to know how to make the system better so that others aren't in the same boat as you.

Far as I can tell, nope. The developer told before the total amount of passwords in the game and, after finding them, I remember none for use on day 3.
All Happens in Dave's head while he is in a mental hospital because he already passed thru the tragedy and got traumatized for life
He can't live without thinking what he could had done and that explain why if he choose Oz offer and leave his friends behind, then everything dissapears because that it'd be the most unreasonable thing from him to do

Honestly this thought had passed through my head once...especially when the rat got involved. My memory might be a little hazy, but I think that at one point in a bad ending, the wording just switched to past tense like he was reliving a flashback of that timeline. And the way the background is always grayscale unless something memorable comes up like a CG kinda goes with that theme. Since the vault works on trauma, I’d figured that was the reason they’re so important and cryptic [at times]...those words are sorta like triggers, hence the sound that plays (quite a stretch, but hey). I might be heavily overthinking this, but the fact that I’m able to overthink it shows how much detail goes into everything this game has to offer.🐊
No no no no, remember, Oswin said that the password should have a traumatic connection to the user...meaning Orlando can metemphysis(?) too! But, Orlando said Dave was in a shed or shack...the only thing that resembles that is the shed we saw on our date with Deanooooooorrrrrr the shed Roswell saw when he was lost...maybe it's the same shed but that means he could also be ded from another "timeline" where orlando didn't fight for dave like he said in his route and maybe, Just maybe, Orlando Noble's father killed dave because his father was a policeman? Who knows? After all...
Killing the son of a policeman doesn't make sense when his dad the policeman is already dead, you gain nothing from it and a crime family would be thorough and have at least had dave investigated or followed by their men. Would be pretty obvious dave was harmless so acting against him would be a waste of resources and could risk getting noticed by the police. Also Thanatos explains how the vault works using dna as authorisation for the vault to actually work. Orlando can work it because his dads dna was added but you never get an explanation on how daves dna is in it.
You used to be able to change your name in earlier versions, until it was decided that the protagonist would have a fixed name. That was left as a little easter egg, and you can get some extra dialogue depending on the name you put.
Pretty much. It's a nice little bit of humor given the naming your character trope has been around for a long time when games these days benefit more from having less blank-slate type characters that you could freely name and imprint onto.
But beyond that I do have plans for it. There are a couple easter eggs in there depending on whose name you put in now and I'll be adding more as time goes by.
SPOILER AND THEORY, DON'T SCROLL IF YOU DON'T WANNA BE SPOILED!
Aside from the VERY obvious and entertaining jojo reference, I'm beginning to suspect that dave might be based off from Natsuki Subaru, as Dave... Metem-cise? Lets just call it reset, As dave reset and type in the password, I noticed how more and more messed up his senses become, Just like from re: zero this includes the new update, From where he found out about sal, Dave started to hear his dads voice telling him to give up, So maybe, just maybe, just like subaru, Dave struggles from connecting what happens in different timelines and different posibilities, The only thing that's different is that dave isn't the one to die in these routes, But his friends. The newest update lead me to believe this because of the new password, especially since I'm addicted to the matter of alternate timelines and possibilities, like in undertale and re: zero, This alone is why I love this game and I hope to play more of it in the future! ^^

Hey Grizz, I've been thinkin' about this game a lot recently and I've been pondering this question too, why do people like you create other projects instead of working on the first one and then when you complete the FULL game, then you create another project so no one has to wait for a long period of time? Just a recommendation from your fans, IsaacOnItch.Io, DanielsHere, AppleToOnions, WhyNotGoSlow?.
I was just informing you incase of someone else, I've hear the same complaints when I create games, I am not trying to concern you or make you stressed, I am only trying to help. Keep your work up.
The main reason this happens in indie development is to avoid burnout or poor project management in scope. Sometimes you design something much bigger to pull off than you realize and rather than scrap everything you've made thus far you make something else as a break.
The other side of this is near the end of development, and it'll happen with Password as well, you'll typically want to start development on something else so you have something being worked on by the time the first project ends. Mainly so you can keep getting an income, but also it's just good practice to have something prepared for when your project is over if you're wanting to continue working as a developer. But again, normally you'd wanna do it near the end of development and not in the middle.
Bruh, I've been searching for the Password in day's 10-11 for the vault, and I searched through the Comments and no luck, if someone could give me a hint that would make the password obvious or give me the password, because I have been searching for the past couple of days, I think almost 2 weeks and I've spent day and night thinking and searching, so if anyone could help me that would be great.
Day 10 would be the same password for all characters. I wouldn't really want to spoil you the password. But the answer to the password is the conversation you have with Benson before meeting up with Sal and confronting him with Benson (when Benson ask Sal if he had experience sleepwalking.)

They are related to the affection system. Basically, you have to romance them better by picking the right choices when it comes up. May take a couple tries, but that's about it.
I have been looking in the comments for a bit to see if I can find a clue for the password on day 10 (the one before Sal goes on a rampage) but found myself looking even at the most minimum detail, I have my entire wall with sticky notes with word that could be the password and so far none has work. I’ve seen that some of you already found it so I was wondering if you could give me a clue please!!! Don’t make it too obvious because I still want to make it challenging but please I’m begging you I’m desperate.
What happens if I enter both Roswell's password and my route's password? I tried it out but as far as I know, there were no changes except the library questioning part.

Honestly this thought had passed through my head once...especially when the rat got involved. My memory might be a little hazy, but I think that at one point in a bad ending, the wording just switched to past tense like he was reliving a flashback of that timeline. And the way the background is always grayscale unless something memorable comes up like a CG kinda goes with that theme. Since the vault works on trauma, I’d figured that was the reason they’re so important and cryptic [at times]...those words are sorta like triggers, hence the sound that plays (quite a stretch, but hey). I might be heavily overthinking this, but the fact that I’m able to overthink it shows how much detail goes into everything this game has to offer.🐊

Killing the son of a policeman doesn't make sense when his dad the policeman is already dead, you gain nothing from it and a crime family would be thorough and have at least had dave investigated or followed by their men. Would be pretty obvious dave was harmless so acting against him would be a waste of resources and could risk getting noticed by the police. Also Thanatos explains how the vault works using dna as authorisation for the vault to actually work. Orlando can work it because his dads dna was added but you never get an explanation on how daves dna is in it.

A question whats the point of asking for your name if your just gonna get called Dave? I don't mean to be rude just wondering.
You used to be able to change your name in earlier versions, until it was decided that the protagonist would have a fixed name. That was left as a little easter egg, and you can get some extra dialogue depending on the name you put.
Pretty much. It's a nice little bit of humor given the naming your character trope has been around for a long time when games these days benefit more from having less blank-slate type characters that you could freely name and imprint onto.
But beyond that I do have plans for it. There are a couple easter eggs in there depending on whose name you put in now and I'll be adding more as time goes by.

Aside from the VERY obvious and entertaining jojo reference, I'm beginning to suspect that dave might be based off from Natsuki Subaru, as Dave... Metem-cise? Lets just call it reset, As dave reset and type in the password, I noticed how more and more messed up his senses become, Just like from re: zero this includes the new update, From where he found out about sal, Dave started to hear his dads voice telling him to give up, So maybe, just maybe, just like subaru, Dave struggles from connecting what happens in different timelines and different posibilities, The only thing that's different is that dave isn't the one to die in these routes, But his friends. The newest update lead me to believe this because of the new password, especially since I'm addicted to the matter of alternate timelines and possibilities, like in undertale and re: zero, This alone is why I love this game and I hope to play more of it in the future! ^^

Hey Grizz, I've been thinkin' about this game a lot recently and I've been pondering this question too, why do people like you create other projects instead of working on the first one and then when you complete the FULL game, then you create another project so no one has to wait for a long period of time? Just a recommendation from your fans, IsaacOnItch.Io, DanielsHere, AppleToOnions, WhyNotGoSlow?.

The main reason this happens in indie development is to avoid burnout or poor project management in scope. Sometimes you design something much bigger to pull off than you realize and rather than scrap everything you've made thus far you make something else as a break.
The other side of this is near the end of development, and it'll happen with Password as well, you'll typically want to start development on something else so you have something being worked on by the time the first project ends. Mainly so you can keep getting an income, but also it's just good practice to have something prepared for when your project is over if you're wanting to continue working as a developer. But again, normally you'd wanna do it near the end of development and not in the middle.

Bruh, I've been searching for the Password in day's 10-11 for the vault, and I searched through the Comments and no luck, if someone could give me a hint that would make the password obvious or give me the password, because I have been searching for the past couple of days, I think almost 2 weeks and I've spent day and night thinking and searching, so if anyone could help me that would be great.
What happens that night if you didn't put the password?
Day 10 would be the same password for all characters. I wouldn't really want to spoil you the password. But the answer to the password is the conversation you have with Benson before meeting up with Sal and confronting him with Benson (when Benson ask Sal if he had experience sleepwalking.)

They are related to the affection system. Basically, you have to romance them better by picking the right choices when it comes up. May take a couple tries, but that's about it.
