Yo, sour creme here, love the story, keep up the good work!

(1 edit)

Can someone give me a hint in what I'm doing wrong to access B? I've-

Already asked Oswin to tell me a story and even uttered the word "Rabbit" just to make him mad or something. What am I missing, why is he still alive ;w;
(I got it, nvm.)

(+1)
Can someone tell me how to enter routes F and G. I'm sorry my English is not very good

(+7)(-1)

Don't use the password on day 17. Path A leads to F, B leads to G.

Also Tyson's route can't access those paths.

(+4)

note to self: never hide something in a huge package on a house full of queers. that's the first place they will look. :p

(+2)

I can't help but laugh at that. 😂😂

(+1)

Same! At first I saw it and was like "That's a good one" but now I understand and it's even funnier lmao

I downloaded the new update do I have to delete the old one? Because it's still ending at the same place

The update is only the bad timelines, so i think its path F and path G only.

Oof do u know by any chance when path A will update

Next month, the updates should be alternating between the good and bad timelines each month

dang

Day 22 Bad Timeline spoilers

For his neutral special, Benson wields a gun

... Too bad Roswell does too

heads up! the bad timeline splits itself on day 22 based on your path

Hm?

There're two days 22: one for path F, and one for path G. You get to those paths by missing the day 17 password on paths A and B respectively

So Path G is totally different?

(+1)

sorry for late reply, but yes, day 22 is completely different between F and G

Can't wait for the next update

Can I get a hint for day 7?

(+2)

Benson needs multiple passwords. Each are found in the bad endings. Using one will lead to a new chain of events on day 8 and the next password will be in the new chain of events.

There is something on Hoss's route on day 7 that helps with day 8 and allows to avoid one of the passwords. Think it happens on Orlando's route too but once you know the right password it will work on every route, day 8 is a universal one.

(+1)

Can someone tell me how to update the book pls

(+1)

What platform? i'm guessing android which i can't help with i only know windows.

Boo windows boo!

Just kidding 😂😂

Please don't kill.

So I just have to reread the novel

(+1)

well if you want to wait the next build will be on the 15th

(+2)

When you download the new version, it keeps all of your saves. You just can keep playing from where the last build ended.

(+1)

Oh ty

(+4)(-1)

Anyway dean is hot ngl

(+2)

Sal, 😳

(+1)

What about him

(+2)

Hes hot

(+3)

Ty is the best, mainly because of character arch and backstory. and he looks pretty good.

(+1)

And the best fact  of all

he's a wolf

(+4)

Spoilers? Not really but ig

I AM SO SORRY BUT THESE SPRITES-

(+1)(-1)

This just spawned a headcannon in me that Thanatos kins Nagito but without the whole hope shenanigans.

Ok guys, I have read a lot of these "Man this guy is sorta sus" kind of comments and (POSSIBLE SPOILERS, WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK)

I swear is it just me, or are Ross, Hoss and Dean always the suspected ones? I can definitely understand why but I think that's actually the reason they may not be the traitors. I have a huge fear and please, if someone can deconfirm my theory, please do. I am highly scared.

I put a sort of "scale" of which character is more suspicious than the others and Ive got something like this (or atleast in my opinion) :

1. Roswell

2. Dean

3. Hoss

4. Orlando

5. Sal

6. Tyson

It's clear it most likely is not Tyson, and I think Hoss/Dean are simply red herrings. Roswell is highly sus but I think maybe it's on purpose. I also doubt it's Sal.

And that just leaves Orlando.

I don't know, I really am scared, because he seems to be somewhat in the middle, and nobody really suspects him. What if he really was the traitor?

From my personal experience, it's like "kind" people are the most likely to hide something very dark behind them.

I just really don't want to believe this, I know, it's a stupid theory, but I have so many suspicions. Orlando is my fav, and that would really hurt a lot-

But that's when I found something strange.

"Orlandofailed".

This is the file name for Orlando's death scene. Most of these CGs are usually "characterdead", except some of the alternative paths' CGs and two characters : Orlando and Roswell. (I will not say what Ross' is though.)

Most people could think "Oh isnt that because Orlando opened the vault or something"

Valid point, but it feels so weird to see Orlando's death file named like this.

I think Grizz is planning something for Orlando, and I have a huge fear he may be the traitor.

Yea it's really only a dumb theory but I really have fear it could be reality.

(+5)

I mean, if it meant anything I wouldn't have hidden that information in files that aren't normally accessible by the player, thus why they're archived.

Also, there seem to be a few characters missing from your list.

(+2)

Oh I meant just the main ones-

And yea ig that's fair, I theorize too much myself lmaoo

(+2)

Pretty sure Orlando failed because he went down to the vault to try save Dave but then that happens, so whatever Orlando saw in the vault can happen with no one to stop it.

Hmmm... You're right.

But do you think Orlando may still have a chance to be the traitor?...

(+1)

Think its very low, he doesn't seem to like thanatos and is too squeamish to kill anyone. Can't see him shooting someone or anything.

Totally fair, that reduces my fears a bit. It could always be possible, but honestly I just really hope it's just my brain playing mind games on me dhxhchcbbc

(1 edit)

Well ask yourself would Orlando be Hypnos considering what they make sal do? Regardless of Orlando getting Thanatos to tell Sal what to do or telling Sal himself, Orlando would still be apart of that. Can you see him doing it?

(1 edit) (+1)

-

At least speaking in terms of the core 6, I've always found Dean the most suspicious. Of being the traitor I mean, not the mastermind since I think they're different characters. The mastermind, Thanatos' true master, I assume hasn't even been alive for who knows how many iterations at this point.

But I'll agree that Orlando has been raising a few more flags lately. My entire reason for never really suspecting him was that he was "too nice" to have anything darker going on. But that's a poor reason in the end, it just means he's unassuming.

Do I think he's bad? No. But do I think he'd do anything to keep Dave safe? Yes. Including a deal with his dad, even if that deal doesn't include any of the others. Sal even brings up the possibility of Orlando trying that.

Think to all the bad endings we've gotten so far too. In each of them, Orlando seems to disappear (I assume dead) or outright die. Except for one. In Dean's bad ending, Orlando gets to run his dream bakery far away. His dad outright hates him, but for some reason lets that happen? After the trial over Dean's death as well.  But why? Did Orlando do something to earn that?

I'm just excited. We're getting to the point in the story that all the revelations will start being uncovered. Really looking forward to the moments of "Oh my god that's what that meant!" or the far more abundant "Wow I was so off base here."

(+1)

I think this is more like a natural fear for our favorite route character to be the culprit. It also happens to me, I get overly sensitive to the things my fave one says and does and I'm like please, don't let him be the one who is doing all this at the end, even if maybe there is a chance there is a not so evil motive for all this (Like starting all these cycles so at the end they find one with a miracle or low probability scenario... or maybe I should just stop watching Higurashi before reading the novel)

(+1)

I'm even worried that Grizz may plan some shit like "Your route character is actually the traitor so it changes everytime haha" LIKE IMAGINE HOW HEART BREAKING IT WOULD BE HXHCHCHF

(+1)

Okay but that'd also be a horrible thing for scope management and would mean that every clue needed to be so generic to apply to everyone, that by this stage we'd have no ranking as to who was the most suspicious given most people only play between 1-3 routes

(9 edits) (+1)

( No spoilers ahead )

I've been writing a fanfiction where I'm a character(human) in the game, the feeling is really nice, though it takes SO long!

It's been around a month so far and I'm still on day 8-... I didn't wrote it with plans of creating an actual AU, I'm just really writing it for myself.

( Small spoilers ahead )

Right now I'm writing a scene where I try different kinds of food I never tried before(I'm Brazillian) with Hoss and Orlando, and since the game doesn't specify too much what everyone does after lunch I took some liberty to write a free scene.

Also, since the game doesn't have an oficial country of where things happen, I was thinking of mixing american, australian and maybe british snacks/sweets, aside from general foods I haven't tried.

It's a good way of distracting myself while waiting for the next update I think~

Funny enough the original idea was just to write pretending like I'm talking to the characters so I can put my thoughts into words about who could be Thanatos' master, in the end I end up writing a whole fanfiction

And since we're in the topic... I'm part of the people that thinks Hoss is very sus

I played every route so far including his, and I just get more suspicious of him each time-...

( Big spoilers ahead )

Every time he is brought up he is ruled out for some weird reasons, first in Sal's death he is ruled out because killing someone by freezing them is not... His style? Excuse me, what? Is it common for normal people to have a style for killing? Maybe I just read it wrong, I'll need to check again sometime to make sure.

[Edit]

So I checked, it's Tyson who rules him out for not being his style, which... Doesn't help, since I'm not confident Tyson out of everyone would know him well enough?

Also, In Roswell's death he is ruled out because it's not something he would do. Which is fair enough the characters wouldn't find that suspicious, but from an outsiders perspective I find it to be.. For reasons I say next.

[End of edit]

Sometimes he is also ruled out because he couldn't fix that machine(That I forgot the name), but... He is literally an actor that already said himself that knows how to lie and confessed to not be always honest; that could very well be an act.

Even Oswin gets suspicious of him at some point, but rules him out for the machine reason... Which I'm not buying.

I think there's also some other situations he is suspicious, but I don't quite remember since they're very subtle... I should probably make a list of times a character acts sus if I want to remember better. (/   )/

Ok there is so many things wrong with this. The knife is Oz's if you ask him about it when you can ask questions he will tell you about it and that he's misplaced it.

Thanatos didn't come to the mansion on the bus he was always at the mansion and can't leave the grounds because it would be out of range of the vault and he would stop working.

Hoss leaving something out in the lirary isn't anything to do with the killings, do his route and have affection with him what he leaves out is talking to dave about Hoss's family drama.

Tyson didn't kill Hoss in the bad ending. He gets angry punches him in the face knocking him out cold. He then drags him into the showers to wake him up using the water but he doesn't wake up so he freaks out and hides in his room thinking he killed him. Someone came afterwards and stabbed him.

Also whats the motive for Hoss to kill Oz? He also can't kill benson since he has a crippling fear of guns. Benson also says Oz let himself be killed, why would he let Hoss of all people kill him?

Ah, I thought I had everything figured out with the theory, although he still feels very suspicious to me.

(+1)

Hey uhh-

Okay so sorta late but I wanted to apologize for the Tyson thing that happened some days ago shxhxhxbdbdb. I sorta went overboard there...

(+3)

Why apologise for a discussion?

Other than the furry fandoms overly sexual and can't see password on a deeper level you haven't really said anything warranting one. It's not even that bad of a thing to say the furry fandom is a sexual one, with furry just being a blanket term for anything non-human these days (furry=anthro animals exclusively but 'furry' the fandom has orcs, elves, dwarfs, alians and zoophillia to name a few).

It doesn't help that the first half of the VN is a dating sim with the mystery just setting up in the background and it was shown to be a sexual one with deans CGs and the like, but Grizz knows and even said as much so it doesn't get mentioned. No need to keep going on about it really, it happened it's not that way anymore.

(+1)

That's totally fair, honestly I just really wanted to rant about how I really just feel like the reason everybody likes Tyson is cuz "haha funny wolf bully dude go brrr" and that it also is partly the reason a lot of people dislike or even hate Roswell. I don't even hate Tyson but I just really think the Password fandom is a bit too obsessed with him. Everybody is entitled to their own opinions and that's fair, I just don't really get the hype that much.

(+1)

Honestly i see more OzXdave thirst going on than i see raw thirst for tyson. Any time i've seen mention of tyson it just people saying they love him because of how well writen he is. It's probably all on discord and i never go there but in the comments here the good writing opinion is far, far more common.

OZDAVE?-

OK I KNOW DAVE IS OVER 18 BUT-

There's also some DaveXMemphis personally not really into the whole daddy thing but to each there own.

Is it okay that I go through other threads just for Dean's reaction? Maybe I don't want him to be very jealous, but still very interesting. Too much scope in relations with him. Everyone already seems to think that Dave is obliged to be with him, simply because he does not want to refuse him and somehow hurt his feelings. For example, what if Dave preferred that for the first time, they didn’t go under his tail, but that he did it. And in Dean's case, it's like we have to be on the bottom because of our size. Is it possible to call relations with him canonical - perhaps. But should one adhere to the canon - no. Therefore, probably for me, the relationship with Roswell is still more attractive, for whom feelings are more important. In general, Tyson is partly right about his relationship with Dean. I'm not sure what he thinks first. (At the moment, only 9 days have passed, due to lack of knowledge of the English language, so I don’t know much)

(+1)

I was reading through the thread down below, and wanted to explain why I like Tyson. On a surface level, I'm always drawn to the character that all the other characters tell you to stay away from. Leo from Echo is probably the best other example of this for me, and maybe Tatsuki from Morenatsu to a lesser extent. What I would call "safe" characters tend to push me away because they're usually more predictable and less complex, therefore less interesting to me. I'm drawn to characters with problems because I want to know why they're like that, what made them turn out the way they are, and I want to see if their issues can be resolved somehow. It's like that old real world trope about how women were always attracted to bad guys because they wanted to fix them, even though that's usually how abusive relationships start. I think that trope applies here too, and I know I'm guilty of having that mindset even though I'm a guy too. I think characters like Tyson are popular because I think wanting to fix people is a very common thing, and a VN like this is a safe way to live out that experience.

(4 edits) (+4)

I’m curious while that is a reason to start Tyson’s route, Tyson himself doesn’t really fall in to that category in the way his route plays out. Dave doesn’t try to fix Tyson because he doesn’t see a problem, to him Tyson’s just Tyson. It’s Tyson who wants to fix himself, all Dave does is be there for him and be in his corner. Which is perfectly fine but doesn’t really fit the ‘I can fix him’, Even Dave says things like ''he's better'' or ''he's good now'' and it's Tyson himself who has to correct him with ''i'm getting better''.

What i'm getting at is, ok thats a reason to get into his route but why did you end up liking him?

(+3)

I think it's important to note that Dave and the player themselves aren't the same person. Dave might be okay with Tyson the way he is at the start of the story, but that doesn't mean that Tyson has no issues that should probably be resolved. I played through his route pretty recently, and it was clear to me that he still has problems, even if he isn't lashing out at everyone like he did when he was younger. Obviously the player can't control what Dave thinks, but they can to an extent control what he does, and I feel like just by having Dave interact with Tyson more kind of helps the latter realize that there are still things about themselves that they need to come to terms with. I guess what I'm saying is that I don't need the MC to want to fix them in order for me to want to fix them. As for why I like Tyson beyond that, I guess it's a lot of small things really. He makes fun of Dave, but you know he would probably be the first to put himself in danger to save him. He's blunt, he has a sense of humor, he has a sort of complex pre-existing brotherly relationship with Dave, and he's one of the last connections Dave has with someone important to him. He's like an onion, he has layers, or at least I think he does, and I like that in a character. Maybe I just enjoy characters that are rough around the edges because I think they're fun to interact with, I'm not entirely sure.

(+3)

You aren't the only one. I completely agree with what you've said about Tyson. He's been my favorite ever since I starting playing through this visual novel last year. Yeah, his character's rough, but I love what I see of him.

Hey there ExtraMoonshine, I have a question for you and I don't really wanna ask it here. My discord is Ladripper#4787, please send me a message there (it's about your earlier work)

(+1)

Btw,
Just wanna confirm before playing
There is no nsfw inside rightr?

(+1)

If by NSFW, you mean sex scenes then yes. There's one on Dean's route I forgot to remove.

(+1)

so I played this VN for the first time but like did anyone else just find hoss suspicious the entire time while playing or is that just me?

(+1)

Depends what route you play. Hoss's route pretty much explains everything about why he acts the way he acts. But there's quite a few things that would make him a bad candidate for the big bad, a crippling fear of guns for example.

(1 edit)

I think he's meant to be a red herring.

Spoilers?

Am I the only one that doesn't like Roswell? I know it's hard to forget people or believe that they changed, did almost everyone but him, I can't do it, I dislike how he treats Ty and because of that I can't give him a chance

(+2)

You're not the only one. In fact you're in a large majority of players where the overlap is reasons directly related to Tyson as opposed to anything he specifically did or is like as a person.

(+2)

I swear, this is not any sort of criticism or anything, but is it just me or the Password fandom ONLY cares about Tyson? Ive noticed most of the Roswell hate comes from "Eww he treats Tyson like trash".

I don't even hate Tyson but he's SOO overrated. I personally don't think Roswell is that bad, and I even found him relatable at one point of the game. Again, this is not a form of criticism, you're fine. I just keep not understanding why the Password fandom has this over obsession for Tyson.

(+5)

It's not just you. It's a measured fact based on polling.

As a developer, Tyson and Dave's relationship, platonic or otherwise, is very satisfying to write. As a fan... Well it'd be best to ask fans directly but there are a lot of cited things that contribute to liking of Tyson. Kinks, to the fantasy of "turning" your bully, to exploring that dynamic in a safe way (though Dave suffers as the proxy), to even canines being typically one of the more popular species in furry media as a whole. Test it. Take a furry visual, look at the cast for the canine, and measure their popularity against the other members. Then ask why.

You'll probably start to see an interesting pattern occur, but there'll always be exceptions.

(+2)

That's fair.  I mean, I see Amicus and Leo everywhere on the Furry VN Fandom, so I am not exactly surprised. (I usually like reptilians more tho tbh)

I just really feel like... Roswell is a bit overhated? I do understand that he treats Tyson badly and stuff, but I don't really hate him because of that? Honestly, I think hes a good written character, and I just hope he doesn't get as much hate when this game will get officially released on the Nintendo Switch. That being said, I do think all of your characters are well written, it's just that I am not a huge fan of Tyson because he just follows the usual "Gay bully furry who loves the mc" trope thingy. It's really not your fault, sorry for like letting my feelings out. I just felt like I had to... Say how I truly felt about the community as for now? It could be worse, really worse. But I do feel like Roswell needs more love from the community. I understand, opinions and all, but I just think it sorta makes me feel sad? He's not even my favorite character, but I honestly somewhat relate to him at some points and I personally think he could be WAY worse than what people think.

I am just a simple user on this platform, and I am not like expecting anything to happen. I really just feel like Roswell isnt as bad as the others say he is.

(6 edits) (+3)

There's more to it than just 'he's mean to Ty'. I wasn't going to weigh in since Grizz knows my issues with Roswell and it doesn't involve how he treats Tyson. I remember you saying you only started reading relatively recently but the Roswell being disliked issue isn't a recent development and Grizz has rewriten him ALOT really.

In the beginning Roswell would out right insult dave and treat him like a useless child infront of everyone. Then there was all the inconsistencies with things he says and how he would act and Grizz had trouble making him flow propperly which made Roswell come off as malicious and manipulative. Such as how everyone calls out Dave inviting Tyson without asking as a dick move. But then Roswell keeps quite about how he feels about it for about 12 days then when he tells Dave his secret he then uses it as amunition against Dave as if it was never brought up. Considering that Dave is reeling from just being told Roswells secret and is already overwhelmed he then decided to bring up any baggage and issues he has against Dave at the same time. It looks incredibly calculated and manipulative.

Grizz has been working on Roswell's issues over time and so Roswell has changed alot over time. However password is rather an 'old' project now most people who read, watch and fund it have been here a while and so they was exposed to 'asshole Roswell'.

Roswell has changed but first impressions matter. While he's not the same its hard to not think of him as he was then when you read him now. Compared to every other character who has been consistent from the start, Roswells initial iteration has damaged his fanbase as a character. So people just developed more feelings for the other characters, but if Roswell was as he is now back at the start he wouldn't be nearly as disliked.

(7 edits) (+3)

Seeing Tyson get reduced to only being liked for fetish reasons or a shallow trope feels like a disservice to such a well written character. So I'd like to try and give at least my reason for liking the wolf. Admittedly, I'm neutral towards Roswell and the whole doesn't like Tyson thing never bothered me, so I can't speak from an "anti-Roswell" stance on it. To me, he had valid reasons for the dislike and since he basically drops it past day 9, I think it's moot to hold against him. I feel there are more reasons for being indifferent towards Roswell with Tyson being the easiest scapegoat his fans normally use.

But now, as for liking Tyson. It's a lot of reasons but I'll try to keep it concise (and not simp). His backstory, personal struggles, even dealing with his sexuality, make him the most "relatable" or real member of the cast to me. Him feeling like there's something wrong or broken about himself for instance, it's relatable. His rationalizations sadly make sense and it's always made him the most fascinating character to interact with because of it. The double meaning in his words, or finding the truth of what he's trying to say.

There's his complicated/messy feelings for Dave which for me, makes his the most satisfying route to play. He's someone that doesn't believe he deserves to even be loved, having him finally confess his feelings on day 19 and Dave reciprocating is the most cathartic moment in any route so far. I get that Dean is supposed to be the romance route, but Tyson just naturally fits that role better for me. He's the only one I've noticed Dave initiating affection with past that day as well, even if it's just little acts of a small kiss or something. I'm a sucker for those little tender moments. He easily has the lowest lows yet the highest highs, and most of the moments that actively make me tear up. His admission on day 15 in particular will still break me just imagining that whimper. It wasn't surprising, since the evidence is there if you pay attention, but it was still something I hoped wouldn't have been true.

I could go on, and even now I'm thinking of all the things I haven't mentioned. But I don't want to write an entire dissertation on him. Just know there are reasons to like Tyson beyond a shallow glance at surface level. More reasons than I listed that make him one of my favorite characters in any piece of media. Not just VNs. To me, he's not just "the gay bully character" and frankly by the time the story starts hasn't been for a while. He's not just another "my wolf" clone either, I've no strong species preference to cloud my opinion. Tyson is a complex, very imperfect but redeemable, realistically written character, that has always just been more sad and tragic than anything. Someone that needs patience and love, but has that genuine desire to improve himself. Which I really want to see happen.

The people that fetishize him? Or think his negative traits or red flags are "hot"? In many cases, it seems like they either skim through his route or just ignore the idea of growth or redemption his route has always carried. The unfortunate truth is that they more or less would prefer Tyson's father instead of Tyson. Which if you've played his route, you know how sad that really is.

Just saw this, I don't dislike Roswell just because of that! Even when I recommended the game to a friend I forgot about him lmao also since I don't see his name that often I forget how to spell it

Yes I feel you, not the right place to talk about this but in like, games or vn there´s always an overrated character, and in most of those scenarios I don't like them lmao, but yeah as Grizz said the canine characters tend to be the "favorite" of the fandom

(+1)

in which route did we get the taurus medal, i forgot

(+1)

You find Taurus on every route, it's the one in the greenhouse.

There's something that has been bothering me, Davi and Sal start a relationship in the game? because on my route with Sal, the two of them have nothing and Davi is alone, I don't know if I chose something wrong

(+1)

As long as you get enough affection points through his route, you'll have the option on day 19 to go romantic or platonic with Sal.

(+5)

Hi! Just wanted to share a few thoughts (Sorry if my english is not the best) I admit I knew this novel existed due to the merchandise on Pawprint store. I had been reading several visual novels lately and was curious enough as to try this one. I can't stress enough how this became my favorite VN so far, I really like detective & mistery novels so it was an instant click with all the things going on.

I went through each character route and I really like the personality of each one, the story really leaves you wondering what's coming next and at least for me it really hits you the first time you choose a route and see how it starts and how bad you want to revert the outcome

So trying to keep this post not too long, at the end I just wanted to say thanks to the creator for such an amazing novel. Keep the good work, take the time you need, and again, thank you :)

Are fan projects for this game okay, by the way? I was considering doing a fan made Italian translation for this game one day and I was wondering if that's okay with you.

(+2)

I'd hold off until the end of the year. Which languages the game will be ported into is still up into the air and I'd hate for you to start something that will be provided in full release anyway.

Plus I typically don't like people looking through the source files at this stage in development.

(+1)

Yeah, that's sort of why I said "one day", maybe when the game gets finished. My goal is to somewhat make this game more popular in Italy because it's honestly so well done (even as a beta), and I would love for it to gain more popularity here. Again, it is true that it's a bit too early, but I will think about it in the future.

hey there. i saw several of your comments on here and i was wondering if youd help me with a few questions sometime @ASalamenceWhoLikesOrlando. im having a bit of trouble because i havent played the latest novel in a bout a couple of months or so. if you are in the discord server that helps more.

Sadly I am not on the server. Maybe you could DM me instead?

Happy Pride month everyone!! 😃😃😃

its funny how that i somehow was able to guess one of the codes. I mean i didn't guess on a whim but when a character said the word it got me feeling weird about it. Im not going to say what the code was for people to find out on their own but i didn't look at the path's route i instantly went back to my other save and put the word in which worked. like i said before i didn't guess the word, one of the characters said it in one of their statements and i felt like it had more of a meaning and didn't continue the route.

(+1)

That's usually how the passwords work in this game...early on in the game, it used to essentially give it to you, but now it's kinda made to use where keywords in conversation are the passwords instead of general themes surrounding their death

I just realized something that I should have a long time ago. But Orlando's father is named Memphis, and his father is name Tennessee, and then there's Orlando. Did anyone else get it too? 😅😅😅😂😂😂

(+1)

As a Tennessean, I love it lmao

Does anyone have all the passwords? I haven't played for 2 years and I kinda don't wanna reread everything

(+1)

Is there a guide that lead some good paths on any routes or maybe the passwords... (sorry for asking this its because im too dumb to understand the red hints :( )

(+4)

The red hints aren't really a thing anymore. The passwords are either a word that has alot of emphasis or is repeated alot. If dave gives you hints at the vault then pay attention to those as they point to where the password can be found.

The first password is found in the bad end.

The next needs multiple passwords.

Every time the word coffee is mentioned in the VN, I have the urge to drink some. 😅😅😂😂

(+1)

i know, reading this comment also gave me an urge to drink coffee

(+3)

Weird question, but where does Password take place? Like, the events of the game. I theorized on Spain myself, but I know I may be wrong, soo...

(+6)

The official answer is "nondescript northern hemisphere country"

(+1)

Ooh

can I headcanon this to take place in nepal then

(+1)

I'm not going to say no, to your headcanon, but it's also not a very close comparison to what we've seen in-game already.

(+1)

I just hope it's anything but America LMAO

I am sorry if that sounded rude but it's just that it feels wayy too overdone for me, sorry lol

As long as I can understand what they're saying I'm all for it. 😃😃😃

(+3)

Given I'm Australian, the least I can say it's not there.

I didn't choose a country of origin really because I just needed specific flora and fauna to work, plus somewhere with a mountainous area for the mansion to be on. Really I think the problem is going to crop up in the sequel where I'm going to need to pick somewhere for the main "city" to be but even then I don't think I'll need to name countries or even continents given it's all fictional anyway.

(+2)

As an American, sick of America right now

Also I always thought it was in London or something because of how Tyson says "Oi" instead "Hey"

(+1)

In Great britain certainly

my brain iz too dumb to find all the correct passwords😢

I'm replaying the game after a good 2 years of letting updates accumulate and I wish that Oswin question doc was still available. Oh well.

i mean you could just datamine it if you were that desperate

(+1)

Basically everything about it is documented on the Discord server anyway. No need to datamine it.

Just a bit of spoilers (actually a lot, not that much but maybe just some) but I'm sure some of you already know this. Don't blame me if you managed to read this.

Okay so I have done three routes still, Dean, Sal and Ty's. Am I the only one who knows all the current passwords (for those three) in the game without having to write them all down? This is just my take but I find it interesting that the game changes depending if you out the password or not, I may have made a few mistakes during the second week.
Though I'll admit, having to go through all the deaths just to remember every password has made it easy to not forget.  Especially since I just started playing that VN two days ago.
Has anyone ever tried to connect the passwords to the characters and the events? Let's say if you were Dave (not in the game, like, actually Dave).
What would you really do in this situation? I'd probably be seen as unhinged, but as long as it keeps everyone safe I will do anything it takes. Well depending on what route you chose (I picked Sal since he seems to be the potential choice for my first gameplay, sorry Dean 💀), very interesting things may pop out what should be written down if you noticed it (other than the passwords of course but up to Day 20 there shouldn't be any passwords left, I hope I didn't jinx that). But that's just my view on the situation. If you know what I'm hinting at though, one of the passwords for Sal... You can either put it in or not, nothing happens (Unless if you are very perceptive or depending on the choices you picked on certain days, which I'll tell you, will highly affect whatever route you chose, you'll notice some changes that can maybe help you around the other routes).
I fear for the others once I get to doing the rest of the routes, but that's how much I've been gathered so far. If you had somehow reached this far without getting bored from my ramblings then uhh, I don't know honestly, the more I think about it the more stressed I get, and the more I will be absorbed in the game (just by going on one of the bad routes for Sal and, you know what I mean). And I actually cried when I realized that I practically massacred every character until there was Dave left, I think it was Path F? Though I already know how to get to that Path now, kind of regretted it especially with how I had to pick between Benson and Sal (you know what I mean, and it was a hard decision for me since it didn't even matter in the end).
Also did you ever thought about the fact that Thanatos was named "Hypnos" first? I would assume that it was Thanatos that was speaking with Sal in his sleepwalking state, but it was the "first" name that Florencia gave him, right? So am I right to assume that during the very first iteration of their universe, did Dave and his friends had already went to the mansion (but is now a past memory due to the trauma)? I mean it's possible as every choice creates a branch of possibilities, and those possibilities can lead to another branch with more possibilities, but the beginning where "Hypnos" supposedly told Sal to repent, not sure how Dave never pieced it together on Sal's route (or why he never mentioned it). And the fire in the mansion (which never happened YET, but it was a past memory so it can happen on one of the paths on future routes depending on your/Dave's choices), I just know that there will be a big revelation where Dave might have to sacrifice himself, or leading to the point where he might fully snap, will be forced to abandon his friends for his survival (which obviously didn't end well if you know what I mean), then it might lead to the hospital scene but instead of his dad (because he's dead), it will be his mom who will be there along with Oswin (assuming in the future paths and routes, he will still be alive).
Okay okay this is what I've gathered up so far, I pretty much memorized the paths and routes that I've played, so I can finally stop talking lol. Tell me your thoughts and I'll try to answer as best as I can ;-;

Spoilers for Tyson's route

I've been playing through Tyson's route, and I was kind of annoyed that Dave did nothing when Orlando punched Tyson and yelled at him since the poor hyena has been through a lot and seeing his best friend punch his boyfriend just felt like it was the time for Dave to snap and yell at his friends that he's a grown man who doesn't need to be babied. It just feels like a very annoying part of Dave's personality for me that he's so annoyingly passive and just never gets angry.

(+2)

Spoilers just to be safe:

I'd consider that to just be an intended flaw of Dave's that he's too passive.  But gets less so as the story goes on and you work through his character arc, especially once you get past day 14.

As for that scene. I don't think he was really expecting Orlando to punch Tyson and seemed a little stunned by it. I mean I wasn't at least. Even then, I don't think that was the time to get defensive over Tyson. The guy deserved some consequence over what he did. Jumping in there would have came off as blindly defending him even when he's in the wrong.

Like as much as he's my favorite character, route, and has my favorite romance, the dude earned that particular L.

Any other time though? Dave better defend his boyfriend. No more abandoning them to fight a killer rabbit alone.
