Yeah, about that, I wanted to ask, why is the 'Sleepless' soundtrack so low in volume? I actually needed to max my laptop's volume in order to hear it properly.
Sounds fine to me compared to something like Not Dead Yet. Sleepless is meant to be a slightly softer song anyway but I'm not noticing any notable difference in volume with my settings at 50%.

While I can’t just give it to you, I can point you in the right direction....on day 7, if Tyson dies, use the big red word in his epilogue in the vault on day 6 to save his life...once you do that, you’ll get a new scene and it’ll be pretty direct on if you wanna save him...if Benson dies on day 7, think about what Dave says about what the entire scene looked like. Hope this helps

If you're only playing on Sal's route, you likely won't find it. It's there but it's nowhere near as obvious as it's impossible to get on Path C and D on Sal's route.

Hi I just restarted after a couple of updates and I cant change my name from dave anymore even after I type in a name it turns into dave what do I do now?
Back in a0.17 it was changed from fairly strong feedback and an impromptu vote. Essentially people wanted Dave to have his own name given how established of a backstory he had as it felt odd you could name someone who clearly had their own life.
Oh yeah...the knife from Hoss’ death...Jack had it...the gun that killed Benson...Oswin had it...the syringe...I dunno if it referred to the plant disease or whatever, (correct me if I’m wrong) but if Dave’s mom was a doctor of some sorts, it’s a stretch, but I’m not ruling out that’s she’s a possible part of this. Also I found it extremely strange that Oswin knew about Jack...not the fact that he exist and plot stuff...but it’s like he was “watching” over Dave...the friends didn’t find Dave until the gunshot and Jack conveniently escaped...I literally said I wouldn’t ask these questions in the last comment but I couldn’t help it :(
I...hmm...I dunno how to accurately express how I feel, but I will say that the turn this novel has taken is great. I love how Dave is starting to act and think like a real-life person. I like how I can sorta predict the next line of dialogue, like when Sal gives the talk and I was like “What if I don’t want to” and I clicked and Dave said it too. On the same note though, it really sucks that he’s having suicidal thoughts and stuff like his loneliness and overwhelming stress...as someone who knows what that feels like, I’m really looking forward to see how that’s dealt with. As far as plot goes, I feel like if I ask any questions, then I’ll be in for a world of mental hurt, so I’ll hold on that. But keep up the great work!!🐊
One thing though, was on Sal's route but at the beginning of Day 13 the dialogue makes it seem like I was on Orlando's route as it says he is "more than a regular friend" to Dave and talks of them cuddling.
I think thats normal, i think i was on the Hoss route and Dave said the same. So i think it may just be Dave contemplating about Orlando. And more than just friends i just assumed meant best friends.
Uh...do we need like keywords? I remember when the questions update came there was like a list of keywords for questions to actually be work...plz help

Usually short words work, but sometimes you need to insert a longer phrase to be answered...
You can ask different things to him... the only word (in my experience) which added something to the story, though, was rabbits.
If you never tried, you can also insert the question: can you tell me a story, to hear an alternate version of Hansel & Gretel.
You can ask about benson, micology, secret passageways, the vault, the shack in the woods, medals, microphones (or cameras, it's the same) and probably other stuff... but this is all that I've found (if memory doesn't fail me) till now.
That was an AMAZING update, Grizz! Even though I know that Oswin hates bunnies, it didn't cross my mind that the antagonist (well, the hired hitman anyways, from what I understood) could be a bunny. Well played, Grizz.
Also, something that would've been cool to see would be that this update introduced DAVE's first bad end. Since anyone, including Dave, could die, this would've been a pretty good way to show Dave's first bad end. A potential scene that could've happened would be when Jack revealed the knife and you had to click a time-limited choice wherein Dave runs. Failure to click the choice, Dave's first bad end occurs. Or maybe it wouldn't kill Dave at once, maybe Jack slashes at Dave's chest multiple times before Dave starts to run. Then, due to Dave's injuries, Dave starts to slow down until he comes to a stop at a tree that was near the mansion. Jack decides to finish him off then and there, which results with Dave screaming that could've signaled Dean and Orlando so that his body is discoverable. But when the choice to run is clicked on time, the currect scene in the update plays out.
Sorry, I'm no game developer nor a writer but I just thought this could've been a pretty nice addition to the update haha. You most likely already have a hard-hitting bad end for Dave written down so I'll just wait until that day comes.

Im losing my mind trying to find the passcode for day 10 to avoid the *BAD* and *BAD* happening. Apparently its one of the words that is said throughout day 9, but ive been at this for literal hours trying at this point more than 100 words. I THINK its a noun, since every other passcode ive found is a noun. Can I get a hint? Which route to look in? Some kind of relation? I dont need the exact word, just something more than "Check every word on every route of day 9, some words repeat and its one of those"
The whole point of Dave's investigation on Day 10 is to guess the password on that day, so you should think about where his investigation takes him and what things come up. It's also not tied to any route so you shouldn't worry about missing it for playing the wrong route.
I know that feeling, I tried more than 100 words like you...but my problem was that I missplelled the word, and LITERALLY was the first one that I tried, my English is not the best...
You need max affection, so spend all your time with him. The one i kept missing is going after tyson at one point and missing a chance to talk to hoss about stuff.

I can't believe I didn't think of a rabbit during the times I was trying to figure out who the white thing was. Despite the huge chunk of solved questions, I somehow think that the update was a bit shorter than the rest, since Dave got injected and passed out before night time. A new character would've made sense as the killer, but some might forget this little detail. Jack was the killer but not the main suspect because he is being paid to "do the job", which is kill everyone. Also, it means that there is someone or something paying him to kill them all and only that, because Jack also mentioned that he just came in a week before. Despite everything, I honestly wished Day 12 ( Bad Timeline ) came out today too, but I understand if you didn't have enough time to finish it. Thanks for the great update! (I'm literally listening to "Purposed Stroll" right now)

Well... probably I'll be too obvious, but I'd like to enforce the advice to play all the paths that are available in the game to really enjoy it.
I started my play choosing to romance just one character(Tyson) only based on personal preference, and, while I really enjoyed the plot, at the end of the last update I simply abandoned the game for a while...
...After some time, out of curiosity, I returned to the game and decided to try different paths, and I'm glad that I did that, because it renewed my interest in discovering more...
It gives you more backgrounds of the different characters(and different POVs, that can also make you re-evaluate some of them), and more clues on what its happening in the mansion...
Thanks again for this awesome VN, I love the fact that the story is so complex and that every path is deeply intertwined in a broader scheme, I'm looking forward to see what it will happen to the poor Dave in the next update...
P.S: I'm still stuck at day 10, but I'm not giving up on the password already xD
Day 10's password is one of the most mentioned words by the charavcters in Day 9 (especially Sal). Just read it again and you will surely find it (cuz ur missing out on the newest update which is AWESOME).
Wanted to ask since I was wondering about this, is it possible that whenever Dave sees something white in the distance, its the driver? I mean he IS a polar bear which is white, right? Also, I was wondering about this, too. If Oswin dies on Day 10 or 11, and then the vault door closes in the library at Day 12, does that mean that the culprit has access to the library too? It seems scary to think about, but my fav route is getting suspicious (Hoss). It could probably be Florencia or Benson since according to Thanatos, he let himself get stabbed. Last question, does the survivor of the 99 deaths incident gonna have a main role in the story, cuz I have a feeling that he/she might be the culprit because of the years that passed, but I wonder if he/she has a motive. Closest thing to think about it is that his/her friend or family was also part of the 99 deaths in the incident.
I don't think that it could be any of Dave's friends. The biggest problem I see on this theory is the fact that EVERY Dave's friend can die including Hoss. I also don't understand why a knife suddenly shows up in Hoss' chest in his bad ending. And THE SAME KNIFE that kills Oswin. (Tyson also says that he only dazed him, not that he used a knife)
For the culprit I have so many diffrent theories from ghosts to the test subjects of the experiment, Dave and Thanatos. So far I only include ghost stuff as something to point out because they can basically do whatever. I also am looking out for Thanatos because there is just something wrong with him I can't quite place. (Benson should not be the murderer, I don't see any motive and the next update should confirm it hopefully)
And the driver? I don't quite understand. Some of the BGs are oddly white on its sides, which I only assume means it's a flashback? I studied a bit the background pictures but no luck. Do you mean like the CGs or...?
I tried my best to write everything I know but I'm quite bad at doing theories. So what do you think?
I honestly think you're up to something. The white parts of the BGs are definitely confusing enough. Yes, Benson shouldn't be the killer since he was killed, but there's a potential with Hoss, and the reason isn't so clear as only a hunchI have. Let's hope I'm wrong though

It gives you more backgrounds of the different characters(and different POVs, that can also make you re-evaluate some of them), and more clues on what its happening in the mansion...
Thanks again for this awesome VN, I love the fact that the story is so complex and that every path is deeply intertwined in a broader scheme, I'm looking forward to see what it will happen to the poor Dave in the next update...

Day 10's password is one of the most mentioned words by the charavcters in Day 9 (especially Sal). Just read it again and you will surely find it (cuz ur missing out on the newest update which is AWESOME).
Funny fact: I found the password a little later that I wrote that comment (and, in my opinion, it was not so obvious, but I like challenges :D)

The only hint I can give you is that the password's meaning is, for short, the worst case scenario for Day 10.

Wanted to ask since I was wondering about this, is it possible that whenever Dave sees something white in the distance, its the driver? I mean he IS a polar bear which is white, right? Also, I was wondering about this, too. If Oswin dies on Day 10 or 11, and then the vault door closes in the library at Day 12, does that mean that the culprit has access to the library too? It seems scary to think about, but my fav route is getting suspicious (Hoss). It could probably be Florencia or Benson since according to Thanatos, he let himself get stabbed. Last question, does the survivor of the 99 deaths incident gonna have a main role in the story, cuz I have a feeling that he/she might be the culprit because of the years that passed, but I wonder if he/she has a motive. Closest thing to think about it is that his/her friend or family was also part of the 99 deaths in the incident.

I don't think that it could be any of Dave's friends. The biggest problem I see on this theory is the fact that EVERY Dave's friend can die including Hoss. I also don't understand why a knife suddenly shows up in Hoss' chest in his bad ending. And THE SAME KNIFE that kills Oswin. (Tyson also says that he only dazed him, not that he used a knife)
For the culprit I have so many diffrent theories from ghosts to the test subjects of the experiment, Dave and Thanatos. So far I only include ghost stuff as something to point out because they can basically do whatever. I also am looking out for Thanatos because there is just something wrong with him I can't quite place. (Benson should not be the murderer, I don't see any motive and the next update should confirm it hopefully)
And the driver? I don't quite understand. Some of the BGs are oddly white on its sides, which I only assume means it's a flashback? I studied a bit the background pictures but no luck. Do you mean like the CGs or...?
I tried my best to write everything I know but I'm quite bad at doing theories. So what do you think?
I honestly think you're up to something. The white parts of the BGs are definitely confusing enough. Yes, Benson shouldn't be the killer since he was killed, but there's a potential with Hoss, and the reason isn't so clear as only a hunchI have. Let's hope I'm wrong though
Just wait for the next build it will help quite a bit.
